Outdoor Test Sites

As reference for the development of accelerated aging test procedures, test specimen of components and four different collector types are exposed at outdoor weathering sites in Germany, Spain, Israel and India.

The locations are selected in such a way that they represent climatic zones with critical factors for the degradation of solar thermal collectors and their components. Representing zones of moderate, maritime, alpine, tropical or arid climatic conditions they allow the quantification and analysis of the effect of these particular stress factors and their combinations. A continuous stress monitoring ensures the seamless acquisition of relevant data.
